The power of creation from metal; months of labour, injuries and joy; pieces of solid silver and brass melted down and drawn to wire, each length hammered, sawn and soldered to frame half-moon pendants embossed with lace. The results are ‘Artemis’, ‘Demeter’ and ‘Hecate’ from the Neopagan Triple Goddess, or Maiden, Mother and Crone. When made, these Goddesses were guides to create, when worn they are to be acknowledged and conversed with – understanding the whispers of wisdom that have led and shaped you beyond blood.
These pieces were made for the 'Solstice' exhibition presented by Converge at Superordinary on the 12th of July 2025, celebrating the Winter Soltice. This was my first forway into framing my jewellery, as was needed for installation in the space, so presented here is both the pieces themselves as well as their accompanying photography and framed forms.
